NASHVILLE, TN --The Georgia State volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 victory (25-15, 25-9, 25-19) over the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devilettes Saturday at Kean Hall Gymnasium.
The out-of-conference victory improved Georgia State's overall record to 7-2 on the season.
Keionna MacKey finished with nine kills on the day to lead the Panthers attack while finishing with a hitting percentage of .333. got 9 digs from Livy Kowalkowski to lead them defensively.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Panthers took control on the first point and never looked back to win the first set 25-15. Georgia State opened up its biggest lead, 10 points, to finish off the set. Georgia State also supplemented their offense with six aces in the opening set.
SET 2 | Georgia State took the second set 25-9 to quickly take a 2-0 lead. The Panthers grabbed control of the set lead early on at 2-1 and held the lead the rest of the way. Georgia State opened its biggest lead of the stanza, 16 points, to close out the set. The Georgia State offense also got a boost from five aces in the stanza. Georgia State's front row had a solid defensive performance, blocking four Mississippi Valley State attacks in the stanza.
SET 3 | Georgia State closed the match in a 3-0 sweep after grabbing set three. The Panthers took the set 25-19. Georgia State took the lead for good at 11-10 in a set that showcased three lead changes before the Panthers took over the lead. The Georgia State offense also got a boost from three aces in the stanza.
The Panthers will be back in action Saturday Sept. 20 to take on Louisiana Tech at 11 a.m.
