SERIES HISTORY
Georgia State trails the all-time series against Coastal Carolina, holding a 6-15 record across 21 meetings dating back to 1992. The Panthers are looking to bounce back after a one-game skid, as the most recent matchup resulted in a 77-68 loss on March 8, 2025, at the SBC Championship Tournament in Pensacola, Fla. The series has featured stretches of momentum on both sides, highlighted by Georgia State's longest winning streak of three games from Jan. 15 to Feb. 23, 2021, while Coastal Carolina countered with a seven-game run from Jan. 8, 2022, to Jan. 16, 2025. Recent meetings have favored the Chanticleers, with Georgia State posting a 2-8 mark over the last 10 matchups. Home-court advantage has played a role throughout the series, as the Panthers are 3-6 in Atlanta and 3-7 on the road in Conway, along with an 0-2 record at neutral sites. Georgia State's first win in the series came in the inaugural meeting, a 92-69 victory on Dec. 11, 1992, which also stands as the largest margin of victory in the series. Across all meetings, Georgia State has totaled 1,328 points, averaging 63.24 points per game.
BETWEEN THE LINES
Coastal Carolina enters the matchup with a 6-6 overall record and a 0-1 mark in Sun Belt play, coming off a one-game skid following a 71-68 loss to James Madison in its conference opener. The Chanticleers have been strong at home, owning a 5-2 record at the HTC Center, while road play has proven more difficult at 1-4 away from Conway. Coastal has been in a scoring frenzy with three games this season ending in triple-digit performances. The Chanticleers lead the Sun belt and rank 24th nationally in three-point percentage defense, stalling opponents to a 25.2 shooting percentage from beyond the arc. Coastal Carolina graduate guard Kristin Williams earned Preseason All-Sun Belt Second Team honors and has been a key presence for the Chanticleers this season, leading the team in minutes per game (32.6) while pacing the squad in both assists (41) and steals (24).
CRYSTAL CLEAR

Henderson led the Sun Belt in minutes per game, ranked second in the conference in steals and steals per game, and finished fourth in assists and assist-to-turnover ratio.
Henderson was also named 2023-24 Sun Belt Freshman of the Year after leading all Sun Belt freshmen in scoring, steals and assists, and finishing top five in assists among all freshmen in the NCAA during the 2023-24 season. Henderson's honors marked the third Freshman of the Year honors in program history, and the first since the 2016-17 season.
