Panthers Finalize Month-Long Road Swing at KSU

ATLANTA-- Georgia State closes out its month-long road swing with a trip up I-75 to face Kennesaw State on Saturday, Dec. 6 at 3:00 p.m. 


The two are meeting for the sixth time overall, and for the third season in a row. The Panthers are 3-2 against Kennesaw State, but are looking to secure their first road win against the Owls. 


The Panthers have only seen two games at home this season after starting the 2025-26 campaign on the road at Eastern Michigan and Cincinnati. Georgia State hosted Presbyterian and Fort Valley State before beginning a six game road swing that ends with two in-state games at Mercer and Kennesaw State. 


SCOUTING THE OWLS

Kennesaw State is 6-2 this season and are on a two-game win streak after defeating Florida- Gulf Coast University and Jackson State. The Owls come into the contest off of a 88-73 win at home against Jackson State on Tuesday, Dec. 2. 


Kennesaw State is 3-1 at home this season, with its only home loss being against USF.


KSU averages 94.9 ppg, 47.4 rpg and 15.3 assists per-game. The Owls are shooting 34.6-percent from the three-point line. 


Simeon Cottle leads the Owls in scoring, averaging 21.4 ppg. Frankquon Sherman leads Kennesaw defensively, pulling down 7.5 rpg and totaling 12 steals. 

 

The Panthers return home to face Jacksonville State on Dec. 13 before tipping off conference play in  Statesboro, Ga., at rivals Georgia Southern on Dec. 18.
