ATLANTA – Georgia State baseball opens its season with a three-game series at home against Belmont, starting Friday evening.
The 2025 season marks the sixth season for the Panthers under the tutelage of head coach
Brad Stromdahl, who will be looking to get his team off to a quick start. Stromdahl enters the 2025 season with a 112-132 career record at GSU after coming off a 25-win season in 2024.
Georgia State returns redshirt junior
Michael Maginnis, who is poised to lead the way for the Panthers after posting a .294 batting average with 11 home runs and 43 RBIs during his redshirt sophomore campaign. Senior infielder
Jesse Donohoe also returns for the 2025 season and will also look to capitalize on his senior year at Georgia State after accounting for 43 runs batted in last season.
The Panthers have also made key additions to the coaching staff in preparation for this season. Assistant coaches
Christian Castorri and
Michael Leeder were brought in to help develop the young players on this roster and help the veterans reach their full potential.

Vs. Belmont – 1:00 p.m.
Following their weekend series against Belmont, the Panthers travel to Jacksonville, Ala. to take on the Jacksonville State Gamecocks over a three-game series February 21-23.
