Georgia State Rallies for 3-2 Walk-Off Victory Over Kennesaw State

ATLANTA, Ga --The Georgia State Panthers rallied to score one in the seventh inning and walked it off with at the plate to pick up the 3-2 victory over the Kennesaw State Owls Tuesday.

Senior Sydney Boulware (2-2) got the win for Georgia State (2-9). The right-hander went seven innings, giving up two runs, both of them earned, on four hits, allowing two walks and striking out six.

In the batter's box, the Panthers were led by junior Maia Mumpfield, who went 2-for-3 on the day with two RBI.


HOW IT HAPPENED

Trailing 2-0, the Panthers first put runs on the board in the fifth inning. Mumpfield drove in two runs for Georgia State with a single, that scored junior Ashton Schroyer and senior Chloe Middlebrooks.

The game remained tied until the bottom of the seventh, when Georgia State walked it off when sophomore Payton OConnor came across to score.
