ATLANTA-- After defeating Old Dominion on the road on Saturday, the Panthers look to build momentum at Coastal Carolina on Wednesday evening. The Panthers have won 6 of their last 8 games.

Georgia State and Coastal Carolina are meeting for the 19th time in program history. The Panthers are 9-9 in the series after defeating the Chanticleers 79-74 at home on Jan. 11, 2025.

> After defeating Old Dominion 76-70 on the road, the Panthers went 2-0 against the Monarchs. 

> Georgia State defeated Appalachian State 65-70 on Feb. 15 to secure a 2-0 week in the GSU Convocation Center. Cesare Edwards averaged 26.5 ppg, including a double-double, to ear Sun Belt Player of the Week honors.  

> Senior Cesare Edwards led the Panthers with a career-high 29 points and 11 rebounds in the 97-75 win over Old Dominion (Feb. 13). The Panthers shot an impressive 65.5% from the field and 53.3% from three-point range and senior Toneari Lane was nearly perfect from deep, knocking down seven three-pointers on his way to 21 points.

> The Panthers went undefeated in the 2024-25 SBC-MAC Challenge after defeating Buffalo 80-75 on the road on Feb. 8. Previously this season, Georgia State defeated Ball State on Nov. 4 to tip off the Challenge. 

> Senior Guard Zarique Nutter and senior forward Nick McMullen both scored their thousandth career point in the Panthers' 97-64 win over ULM (Feb. 5). 

> After falling to Marshall at home just one week earlier, the Panthers took down the Herd 85-81 on the road on Jan. 30. 

> The Panthers hit a 3-0 win streak at home after defeating Louisiana (Jan. 4), Georgia Southern (OT win, Jan. 8) and Coastal Carolina (Jan. 11). 

 

PANTHERS IN THE SUN BELT

> Led by Nick McMullen, who is second in the conference and ranks 14th nationally in rebounds per-game, the Panthers' 38.03 rebounds per-game ranks fourth in the Sun Belt. 

> Georgia State's scoring offense ranks fourth in the Sun Belt, averaging 75.0. Center Cesare Edwards leads the panthers and the Sun Belt in total points with 468. 

> Nick McMullen is second in the Sun Belt in every rebounding category, including total rebounds (283, ranks 10th nationally), rebounds per-game (9.8, ranks 14th nationally), defensive rebounds per-game (6.45, ranks 24th nationally) and offensive rebounds (3.31 ranks 23rd nationally).

Georgia State finishes off the regular season at rivals Georgia Southern (Feb. 28) before heading to the Sun Belt Conference Tournament.
