GAME 2 | Utah Valley 7, Georgia State 2
ATLANTA --The Georgia State Panthers struggled on Tuesday, falling to the Utah Valley Wolverines 7-2 despite the efforts of senior Chloe Middlebrooks, who went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.
Sophomore Makayla Stephens (1-4) started and took the loss in the circle for Georgia State (5-14).
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Panthers got the scoring started early, putting one run on the board in the bottom the first inning with the game still scoreless. Georgia State plated two runs off of Utah Valley pitching, one of which was driven in on a run-scoring double off the bat of Middlebrooks. The Panthers were unable to hold the lead, as Utah Valley scored seven times over the remaining six innings to grab the 7-2 win.
