ATLANTA – Georgia State baseball unveiled its 2026 roster, returning 20 players from last year's squad while welcoming a host of newcomers, head coach Brad Stromdahl announced.

Sophomore infielder Wills Maginnis headlines the returning group after starting all 56 games in 2025. Maginnis hit .277 with 57 hits, 10 doubles, three triples, six home runs, and 37 RBIs, while posting a .409 on-base percentage. He also recorded 336 putouts with a .984 fielding percentage, anchoring the infield.

On the mound, senior right-hander Cole Roberts returns after leading the Panthers in innings pitched last season. Roberts made 13 appearances with 10 starts, going 6-4 and striking out 62 batters in 71.0 innings. He held opponents to a .234 batting average, the lowest among regular starters. Jacob Crews also returns as a key bullpen arm, recording a team-high six saves across 20 appearances with 32 strikeouts in 26.2 innings.

The Panthers' core continues with a mix of proven bats and arms. Brian Crooms posted a 3-1 record with 47 strikeouts in 41.1 innings, sporting one of the lowest ERAs on the staff. Carter Bailey hit .275 with 46 hits, 11 doubles, and eight home runs while driving in 43 runs. Jae Williams started 52 games, adding 43 hits, 11 doubles, three homers, and 26 RBIs with a strong .422 on-base percentage. On the mound, left-hander Jake Hembree made 16 appearances and 10 starts, logging 59 strikeouts in 45.0 innings of work.

In total, the 2026 roster is anchored by 20 returners and bolstered by nine freshmen and 13 transfers.
