ATLANTA – Georgia State women's soccer travels back to Alabama for the third time this season as the Panthers face SEC foe Auburn in Auburn, Ala., on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. ET.

This contest marks the second time these two teams have played each other. The Panthers are 0-1-0, with the only contest being a 1-0 road loss on Aug. 17, 2012. 

The Last Time Out

Georgia State continued to defend its home pitch, winning 3-0 against Wofford. Senior forward Aaliyah Faddoul notched two goals and assisted junior forward Sunniyah Tucker on her goal. The Panthers offensive peppered the Terriers with 32 shots, with 14 on goal, and took nine corner kicks to Wofford's one. 

Junior goalkeeper Alondra Iriarte saved two shots on the way to her first shutout of the season. The Panthers improved to 2-0-0 at the GSU Soccer Complex, recording both of their season shutouts on their home pitch.

Leading the Sun Belt

The Panthers lead the Sun Belt in five different categories early in the 2026 season. The Panthers sit atop the Sun Belt in Penalty Kicks (1.0), Scoring Offense (3.0), Shots Per Game (18.5), Shots on Goal Per Game (8.25) and Total Goals (12). The Panthers also rank second in the Sun Belt in three categories: Fouls Per Game (6.25), Goal Differential (7) and Shutout Percentage (50%).

Scouting the Tigers

Auburn comes into the game 3-0-1 on the season, led by second-year Head Coach James Armstrong. The Tigers opened the season with a 0-0 draw against #25 Clemson. On Aug. 16, Auburn grabbed its first win of the season against Jacksonville State and then picked up wins against Southern Illinois and Kennesaw State.

Kickoff for the Panthers is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, Aug. 30.
