After a successful academic and athletic career at Charleston Southern University, Kennedy Burks decided to further her development and education by joining Georgia State in July of 2021. She is currently a Graduate Assistant for the Women's Basketball team with a concentration in Creative and Technological Services. Â
Prior to her joining the GSU staff Burks had a successful collegiate career in the heart of the Low Country at Charleston Southern University, located in Charleston, South Carolina. Burks earned a degree in Graphic Design double minoring in Computer Programming and Web Development and specializes in Advertising/Sports Communication/Video Coordination.Â
She was a three-year captain of the Buccaneer Cheerleading program while earning honors such as the Big South Conference Cheerleading MVP for Charleston Southern, Buccaneer Award, and Sportsmanship Award. Â
Burks hails from LaGrange, Georgia and is the daughter of Patricia and Dialleo Burks, Sr. and sister to brothers D.J. and Kameron and sister Payton. Â
