Ronnie Wilcox joined the Georgia State staff as the assistant coach and operations coordinator for the women's basketball program in July 2024.
"We are thrilled to welcome Ronnie back to GSU," Hill said. "Having worked here as a graduate assistant three years ago, I have seen him grow immensely in this field. Ronnie's passion for the game and his eagerness to learn make him the perfect fit for our family."
Wilcox, who joins the Panthers from Tennessee State University, brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of women's basketball to his new role.
Wilcox most recently served as the Director of Women's Basketball Operations at Tennessee State, where he managed a wide range of administrative and operational duties. His role involved overseeing team logistics, organizing events and supporting both players and coaches in various capacities.
A Georgia native, Wilcox is no stranger to the sidelines of women's basketball. He previously held a position as the basketball operations graduate assistant at Georgia State, where he supported Hill with scheduling, administrative tasks and daily operations. His contributions included assisting with analytics, training, coaching, video analysis, player development and recruiting.
Wilcox began his basketball career at Kennesaw State, where he served as a student assistant and athletics video intern. During his time with the Owls, he played a key role in game planning, player development, equipment maintenance and recruiting, including scheduling campus visits and team promotions.
Beyond his basketball experience, Wilcox has demonstrated strong organizational and leadership skills through his work with the Gwinnett County Government. As a Program Leader, he managed records and documentation related to daily program activities, class registrations, attendance, financial reports and facility usage.
Wilcox holds an undergraduate degree in Sports Management from Kennesaw State University and a Master's in Sports Administration from Georgia State University. His educational background and hands-on experience make him an invaluable asset to the Panthers' women's basketball program.
