Miller-McCray Moves Up on GSU's All-Time Blocks List

The Panthers host Troy Saturday at 2 p.m.

ATLANTA – Georgia State was defeated 81-64 Thursday night against South Alabama at the GSU Sports Arena.

Taylor Hosendove finished with 22 points on 8-of-17 shooting and 10 rebounds to go with three assists and two steals. It was her team-best sixth double-double of the season.

Shaq Miller-McCray moved into third place on GSU's all-time blocks list with three more blocks Thursday. Miller-McCray sits and 138 career rejections after passing Chan Harris (2008-12) who posted 137 blocks during her time on Decatur Street.

Miller-McCray now has 20 blocks for the Panthers in her last five games.

The Panthers were short-handed on Thursday with Jada Lewis, Allison Johnson, and Ashley Foster all out due to injury. Freshman Kennedy Powell made her first career start and scored a career-high six points with a pair of 3-pointers.

Freshman Taylor Henderson scored 13 points and has now reached double figures in five of her last six games.

GSU fought hard to the end on Thursday, scoring 29 points in the final period which is the most points in a quarter by GSU this season.
