Panthers Head to Macon for Four Games

GSU will face Bryant, Akron, Mercer and Presbyterian this weekend.

UPDATE: Due to weather, the schedule for the Mercer Tournament has been changed as of Thursday, Feb. 20. Below is the revised schedule.

Friday: GSU vs. Bryant - 3 p.m.
Saturday: GSU vs. Akron - 12:15 p.m.
Saturday: GSU at Mercer - 4:45 p.m.
Sunday: GSU vs. Presbyterian - 11:15 a.m.


ATLANTA -- Georgia State will travel south to Macon, Ga., this weekend for four games at the Mercer Tourney. 

The Panthers will face Bryant on Friday, Akron and Mercer on Saturday, and Presbyterian on Sunday.

GSU played both Akron and Presbyterian last weekend at THE Spring Games. GSU lost to 4-0 to PC and 8-6 to Akron.

Quick Notes
  • GSU's offensive leaders so far in 2020 have been veteran Caitlin Ray and freshman Daisy Hess. Ray's seven RBI and .357 average are both tops on the team. Hess is hitting .300 with a pair of home runs and five RBI.
  • Freshman Sophie Mooney has made an immediate impact on GSU's pitching staff. Mooney is third in the Sun Belt with 34 strikeouts and leads the league in strikeouts looking.
