Panthers Fall to UTA 82-68

ATLANTA -- Georgia State fell 82-68 to UT Arlington in a Sun Belt Conference game Thursday at the GSU Sports Arena.

Hannah Sadler led Georgia State (6-8, 0-2 Sun Belt) with a season-high 14 points off the bench, including 6-for-7 at the free throw line. The junior post player saw her most significant action of the season after missing 10 games due to injury.

Junior guard Kamryn Dziak equalled her season high with 12 points as she connected on four 3-pointers. 

Freshman Nyla Jean reached double figures for the second straight game with 12 points, matching her season high. She also grabbed four rebounds. Another freshman, Alyssa Phillip, also reached her season high with seven points.

Taylor Henderson handed out a career-high seven assists, and Taniyah Worth grabbed five steals, her career best.

Playing without leading scorer Ashley Foster for the second straight game, the Panthers fell behind early and trailed 47-26 at the half but outscored the Lady Mavs 42-35 in the second half, including 24-13 in the fourth quarter, when GSU shot 57 percent from the field.

Starr Jacobs, the No. 2 scorer in the Sun Belt, led UTA (9-4, 3-1) with 22 points.
