Panthers Fall to No. 21 Auburn

ATLANTA -- Georgia State fell to No. 21 Auburn 9-1 (6) Tuesday at the Bob Heck Softball Complex.

Emily Brown, Bailee Richardson and Daisy Hess hit safely for the Panthers (5-8), and Abby Brown drew a bases-loaded hit-by-pitch to put Georgia State on the scoreboard. The Panthers also drew five walks on the night but left eight runners on base.

Auburn (16-1) pitcher Maddie Penta improved to 8-0 on the season as she allowed no runs and just three hits while striking out 10.

Georgia State heads back on the road this weekend for the Bubly Invitational in Gainesville, Fla., beginning Friday at 10:30 a.m. vs. Tennessee State.
