ATLANTA, GA -- Freshman and Georgia Native, Akira Burt, recorded a career-high 12 kills. However, the Panthers were ultimately outpaced by Coastal Carolina falling in four sets (27-25, 22-25, 25-19, 25-15) Friday at the GSU Sports Arena.Â
The Panthers had a balanced offensive attack with Erin Wyatt and Izzy Durnell tallying eight and six kills respectively. Livy Kowalkowski spearheaded the defensive effort with 17 digs. Â

SET 3 | Georgia State fell again in set three to make it a 2-1 deficit. The Panthers dropped a tough set 25-19. Georgia State trailed by as many as six points as Coastal Carolina grabbed the advantage for good at 8-7 in a set that was tied up five times before the Lady Chanticleers took over the lead.
SET 4 | Georgia State lost the fourth set and the match, falling 25-15. The Panthers fell behind on the first point and never took the lead before losing the set.
