Georgia State Notes

This was the third OT game in GSU's 18-game history. This is the first double-OT game. Georgia State lost last year to Jacksonville State (30-27) and defeated North Carolina Central (20-17). The win today moves GSU to 2-1 in overtimes.
Donald Russell produced the first 100-yard rushing game in GSU's history with his 20 carries for 136 yards today. Both the attempts and yards are school bests.
The 78-yard pass play from Kelton Hill to Albert Wilson is the longest play from scrimmage in GSU's short history. The 64-yard pass pass to Wilson in the second quarter is the second-longest play from scrimmage. The previous long was 62 yards by WR Sidney Haynes on an end around run vs. Lamar on Nov. 6 last year. The longest pass play was 55 yards by TE Emmanuel Ogbuehi vs. Alabama on Nov. 18 last year.
Albert Wilson's 175 yards receiving are a new school record, topping the previous game best of 151 yards by Danny Williams vs. Murray State, two weeks ago here at the Dome.
GSU's five takeaways are a new school record for most in a game (four done three times before). The four interceptions in a game are also a school record.
GSU has produced back-to-back 200-yard rushing games with 45 for 244 last week and 43 for 220 yards tod
Hill completed his first six passes for 161 yards and two TD's before his first incompletion at 1:13 in the second quarter on his seventh attempt. He finished 12-of-15 for an 80% rate and 209 yards.
Christian Benvenuto's 46-yard FG in the third yard is his personal long of 45 yards, done twice this year and in the fourth quarter.
Today's attendance was 14,086, upping the four-game season total to 63,023, an average of 15,755 for the season. GSU entered the game ranked No. 16 in FCS in attendance.
Donald Russell has scored a TD in every game he has played in a GSU uniform this year (6) with a total of eight scored.
Kelton Hill is the third QB to start for GSU this year, following sophomore Bo Schlechter (4 games) and Drew Little (2 games). Little started all 11 games in the inaugural season. All three QB's this year have completed at least one pass of 40 or more yards (Schlechter 54 long, Little 53 long and Hill 43 long before today). Hill has the longest rush by the QB's (21 yards) with Schlechter having a 19-yard rush.
Today's game is Kelton Hill's first start, even though he has played in 14 previous games with 28 previous passing attempts, 1 TD and 1 Interception. He led GSU in rushing last year (60-416-3 TD) had 27 rushes for 127 yards this season.
WR Danny Williams caught a pass in the second quarter to extend his streak to a perfect 18 consecutive games with a reception, every game in school history.
This was the 11th home game in GSU history and the Panthers are 7-4 now in the Dome.
