Crystal Henderson scored 16 points and seniors
Mikyla Tolivert and
Patience Williams scored 13 and 11 points respectively as Georgia State nearly overcame a 22-point deficit before falling 70-59 to Marshall on Senior Day and the final home game of the season at the GSU Convocation Center on Saturday afternoon.
A sophomore from Marietta, Ga., Henderson shot 6-of-13 from the field to lead all Panther scorers.
Playing in her final game at the GSU Convocation Center, Tolivert scored eight of her 13 points in the fourth quarter and finished the game 6-of-16 with three rebounds and four assists.
Patience Williams shot a near-perfect 5-of-6 from the field, including her lone three-point attempt, to reach 11 points with five rebounds, and
Kaleigh Addie also scored 11 points on three field goals, including two threes before fouling out in the final minute.
Senior
Mahogany Matthews grabbed a team-high eight rebounds to go with four points and seven blocks, bringing her GSU single-season record total to 93 on the year. The graduate student from York, Pa. entered the game ranked first in the Sun Belt and third nationally in total blocks and blocks-per-game (3.19)
After the game, Georgia State (14-14, 7-9 Sun Belt) honored its five seniors

Clara Rosini along with student manager Kiera Pritchard and Graduate Assistant Bethany Fortson.
GSU trailed 39-17 in the second quarter when
Patience Williams hit a driving layup with 25 seconds left before
Eghosa Obasuyi drew an offensive foul that set-up
Crystal Henderson's floater at the buzzer to cut the deficit to 18 at halftime. The Panthers would continue their rally with 11 straight points to open the third to pull within seven.
Marshall (10-18, 5-11 Sun Belt) would extend their lead back to 19 with 6:27 left in the fourth before GSU's defense clamped down and forced nine turnovers over the next 3:48. The Panthers would capitalize with a 17-5 run to pull within seven but would get no closer.
Aislynn Hayes led the Tundering Herd with 26 points, and Meredith Maier added 18 points on 6-of-10 shooting from three.
Georgia State will travel to Harrisonburg, Virginia to face James Madison on Wednesday, February 26 at 7 p.m.
